   Oh, Lee will be   happy.

Rachel Law - Apr 17, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
So is that the name of your fiance?   Seriously Amy, we know NOTHING about this guy.   Do you want to give us a little background info?   And maybe a picture or something so we can see what he looks like?

Oh, by the way, we've reserved our plane tickets and will most definitely be there for your big day.   We're excited to see you all!

Thank you Rachel...I agree Amy, we need more details.   And a little gushing excitement about your wedding would be nice.   I haven't heard a word about colors!   Go ahead, make us all sick.

Amy Kalbes - Apr 20, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
My colors are white....mostly white....almost everything will be white, with a few exceptions where there will be colors of dark purple and burnt orange. The reception will be at the stake center, outside, in the back where there's a nice little out-of-the-way area (unless it's raining of course). Irene is taking care of the invitations so ask her about those if you want. There is a picture of him of Jared and Katie's wedding. His mouth is open and we're all making silly faces but you'll at least get to see some of him. Yes he does exist. His name is Lee Kalbes. He's 6'2" roughly. He graduated from BYU last year. He's from Wisconsin (yes I have visited the family). If anyone knows of a good photographer around here let me know. Now what you really should be doing is convince Irene to come to the wedding so all twelve of us will be there.

Katie's aunt photographed ours.   I'll mention it to her; see what she says.

Rachel Law - Apr 23, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We had a guy named Tyler Cazier do our pictures.   He's great, but I think he might be a bit pricey.

MaryAnn Anderson - Apr 24, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
He did ours too (he's Ed's cousin)...but he did ours before he was a "professional," so we got them for pretty cheap.   Now that he's licensed he's super pricey.   I say hire Megan Sturges - hers were nice... :)

Amy Kalbes - Apr 24, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
I'm actually really considering hiring a co-worker of Megans. Check out some of her pictures at http://picasaweb.google.com/AshleeR4. There was another guy that offered but I don't know if I like his poses (www.aderyn.com).

You might have to type it in manually.

Boyd also mentioned Clint Whiting. I don't know what he's up to these days, so he may not be available, but I've seen some of his photos and they were gorgeous!

Rachel, what days are you flying in and out?? We are still trying to figure out what to do but we are planning on being there!   I was able to spend some time with Lee and Amy just last saturday and they are so cute!   Lee is wonderful and treats Amy so well!!   I'm excited to have him in the family!

Boyd Law - May 5, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We're actually flying in and out of Salt Lake (6/25 - 7/2).   It would be nice to have some company, if you were going to do the same thing.   We'll let you know the details if you're interested.

Tammi Law - May 6, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We haven't bought tickets yet but were planning on flying on the 25th too.   What time is your flight and we'll see if we can get the same one!!   Do you know when you are going to bless Hyrum?   We'd love to be there!

Rachel Law - May 7, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We're flying with Continental Flight 542.   Departs at 9:25 AM and arrives in Salt Lake at 11:37 AM.

I'm not sure when we're blessing Hyrum.   I'm hoping for the 17th of May, but we have to confirm it with the ward.   We'll be sure to let you know a week in advance though :)   And tell Eric to plan on standing in the circle.

Happy Anniversary. Oh and Rachel I do the same thing as you when it comes to stuff on the floor. A bare floor makes me feel so relaxed...even if everything has been piled on the bed.

Tammi Law - May 9, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We need to start looking at flights so we'll try to fly in on that same flight.
As for the blessing, what time is your church??   I am being sustained as primary pres this sunday so for the first couple of weeks at church are going to be crazy!

MaryAnn Anderson - May 10, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Wow Tammi!   Good luck with that!   I'm sure Irene will be empathizing with you (or laughing at you) soon!

Amy, saw the engagement pics and ring on facebook - Lee did a good job.   I suppose, if he'll be like that, we'll let him in.

MaryAnn, What days are you flying again and are you flying in and out of salt lake or boise?   Eric can't get any significant time off so it looks like it will be a quick trip for him.   I don't know what me and the girls are going to do yet.

MaryAnn Anderson - May 12, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We are flying into Boise on June 13th and flying out of Salt Lake on June 27th (evening, I think).   Do we know where everyone will be staying in SL yet?   And transportation?   That's a lot of people flying in, and not that many cars...

Amy Kalbes - May 13, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Oh that reminds me. Mom, Marene offered her place while she is away.

Tammi Law - May 27, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We finally got our tickets! Yeah!! We are excited to see everyone!   What are the plans for after the ceremony??   And are there any plans for before the ceremony?   It would be nice to see everyone as much as possible since it's such a short amount of time that we will all be there.

Amy Kalbes - May 28, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We're taking a family picture!!! And we're cleaning the back of the church!! And we're helping Amy with her hair and makeup because I'm makeup handicapped!

Irene Ryan - May 29, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
I find that hard to believe since you wear more makeup more often than the rest of us.   I cannot offer my help here because I almost forget to put it on once a week for church.   Church cleaning is more my area of expertise.   I nominate Tammi to help with the hair.   You're welcome.

Tammi Law - Jun 1, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Oh I would love to help!! what are you planning on doing with it?

MaryAnn Anderson - Jun 1, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Whatever Irene - you did my makeup and did just fine.   So since we're nominating others for jobs we can't do ourselves, makeup is definitely yours.   I, on the other hand, will watch and make critical comments, when necessary.

Irene Ryan - Jun 2, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Thank you, MaryAnn.   You're help in the area of "criticizing" will be much-appreciated.

We're staying at my parents' place, so we're good for accommodations, but we haven't really figured out the car situation yet.

Tammi Law - May 15, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We'll be staying at my mom's house in American Fork and will have access to her car.
It is funny that all the wedding plans are under the chicken lasagna!

Okay, let us know what day you decide on!

We've scheduled the blessing for this Sunday, the 17th.   Let us know if you'll be there.

Leanne Law - May 15, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
That's funny - every time I see that there are more comments under chicken lasagne I think they are comments about the chicken lasagne.

Tammi Law - May 16, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
   Hey Boyd and Rachel,
I'm sorry but we won't be able to make it tomorrow to the blessing.   Tomorrow is my first sunday as primary pres and things are really crazy in there right now.   Half our staff has been decimated by changes in the ward, so I really feel like I need to be there.   We need to get up there and see Hyrum so maybe we can come next weekend or the following one.   Is Rachel's mom there for the surgery? and when does Leanne come down??

Rachel Law - May 16, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Hey, that's totally fine.   Honestly baby blessings aren't a big deal to us (is that bad to admit?)   My mom will be coming in on Tuesday the 19th and Mom Law comes Tuesday the 26th.   I think it would be great if you came here while Mom is here so she can see her grandbabies :)

Tammi Law - May 18, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
We will definitely get up there when Leanne is here!   That will be so fun.   Eric will be in Brazil for work so you'll just have to settle with me and the girls.   I hope Hyrum is doing great and still being easy for you!! That makes things so much easier!!   I still need to get you something so if you have any requests then let me know!   Oh and thank you so much for the christmas present!!   We will definitely take the hint and get a new garbage can!

Amy Kalbes - Jun 22, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Irene what time are you flying in? Tammi I would love you to help me on my hair unless you're better at nails. The right hand is so hard to do. I don't really know when I'll be doing everything but I'm hoping to do it all in the morning before the pictures so afterwards we can set up the church. It'll be nice to practice after I have the dress in my possession.

Tammi Law - Jun 22, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
I'll do whatever you want me to do!! We are excited to see in 4 days!!

And thus ends the infamous chicken lasagna posts which had nothing to do with chicken lasagna.   If you would like to continue these unrelated conversations, I could post a recipe for Dill Bread for you, but I think this particular thread of discussion is already too long.

Poor Chicken Lasagna!   Though we shamefully ignored you in this line of posts, you were, as usual, completely yummers at the reception.

I agree. We should have had this conversation somewhere else. And yes it was very good.

MaryAnn Anderson - Aug 8, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
I'm so sorry to be reviving this forever long post, but I actually tried making this recipe last night.   Except it didn't turn out quite right - probably due to not having a baking temperature or time.   Do I cover it with foil?   Did you put spinach in it at the wedding?   I can't figure out what I did wrong - help Mom!

Sarah Law - Aug 8, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
this is mom - I used one small package of spinach to about 3 lasagnes - was that the problem - too spinachy?   I also squeezed the water out of it real good and then chopped it smaller with some scissors.   the temp was 350 for 30-35 min.   I had them covered with foil because they were frozen but I don't know that you need to cover with foil.   I made it again the other day and it didn't seem to be the same as at the wedding either.   I doubled the amount of soup I put in it though.   hmmm - don't quite know what to tell you except don't beat yourself up over it.   It happens.   Love, MOM

MaryAnn Anderson - Aug 10, 2009   Edit | Delete | Viewers | Reply to this item
Yes, it must have been the spinach.   However, Ed and Krista both liked it, as well as the lady I took this dinner to, so it wasn't bad.   Just not the same.   Next time I'll probably make 2 - split the spinach and freeze one of them.
