 Brief and boring update

We had a baby back in August. I hope that's not news to any of you.... She's a very difficult child that requires a LOT of attention; particularly from her mother. When I make dinner Boyd takes her downstairs to play with toys because if she even sees me she'll scream at me until I come get her. About two weeks ago she turned a corner and began taking decent daytime naps, so her nights got a little better too. (No more waking up every 2.5 to 3 hrs!) Sadly she's been sick and/or teething so the last two days have been a lot of sleeping during the day and a lot of crying whenever she's awake. At around 1 this morning I just rocked with her for an hour while she stared at me and sucked on her pacifier. I think maybe she's getting too much daytime sleep. We moved into our new house. Hopefully that's not news to any of you either. We love the view of the forest in our backyard and we love that we've seen a bit of wildlife. Hearing the coyote's and their pups barking is kind of fun too, though I think it makes the boys a little nervous. Boyd just got a big bonus at work, so we squirreled that away for future house renovations (expanding the crawl space). He still loves his job and his beautiful new house and the ease of his commute now that he can take a train straight to work. He does NOT love the cursing teens or crazies that ride the trains... Nathan seems to be making friends at school but it's tough to tell. Sometimes he comes home with stories about how he has no friends, but then he'll tell us all about the game he played with some boy at recess. I think he tends to be dramatic and deals in superlatives. Hyrum turns 5 tomorrow! We've been debating about whether we want to put Hyrum in kindergarten this fall, but the closer we get the more he seems ready. He's pretty immature, but I know he won't be the only one, so hopefully he'll find a fellow goofball and make good friends. The little street we live on has about 9 kids that all go outside and play when the weather is nice. Our boys are the youngest of the bunch, so they tend to get into trouble due to lack of social skills and experience, but they're slowly getting better. I hope.... I think that's the end.

Boyd should listen to books on cd during his commute...you know, to shut out everyone. Lee has some good business ones that he's really liked.

Rachel, your updates aren't boring. I would love to see pictures of Lydia. I bet she's changed a lot since
September.
